Gino Carollo
Born in Vicenza in 1965, began working in the field of industrial design in 1990, also fulfilling the role of artistic director for prestigious furniture brands both in Italy and abroad.
In addition, at the request of Assarredo, he took on the organization of the Italian Pavillion at the IMM Köln in 1992 and 1993, also having overall responsibility for its image; and, in 1992, he was also responsible for the Italian Pavillion at the ‘Intérieur’ fair in Vienna.
In 1993 he took part in the ‘Dirattan’ exhibition in Milan; and in 1994, the exhibition ‘progetti e territori’ at the Abitare il tempo, Verona. Certain of his products have been exhibited at the MoMA, New York. At this time he was awarded the ‘Du Pont’ prize in Cologne, ‘Young design’ in Milan, and ‘Casaidea’ in Rome.
In 1999, he founded STUDIO28 GINO CAROLLO with the aim of bringing together a highly qualified support team for businesses in the design sector. Their ability to maintain a link between the design of a product, the way in which it is put into production, and the creation of products and prototypes is the secret of their ability to achieve concrete results over the years and to establish long-term partnerships with their clients.
STUDIO28’s activities in the field of industrial design have broadened in recent years as they have gained new areas of expertise, amongst which a highly specified knowledge of architectonic creation of exhibition spaces and showrooms.
In addition to Ligne Roset, STUDIO28 GINO CAROLLO collaborates with, amongst others, Interlübke, Bonaldo, Draenert and Porada.
